March has been a great month for fishing near St. Pete Beach. We have been fishing for snook on most days and also picking up some nice redfish and trout as well. There are still plenty of sheepshead around too with many of them moving up onto the flats.
The mackerel have really started to move in thick as well so they will be moving up on our list of targeted species as we head into April.
The weather has been much better this March than last year in St. Pete Beach with most days being in the upper 70’s and lower humidity. We are still getting a few cold fronts but they are bringing mostly wind and not too much cold.
